toolb.inRebuilding

New site coming soon

A new toolb.in is on the way.

We’re rebuilding toolb.in as a reference for open-source business software: which tool fits, whether it’s ready to run, and what it really costs.

What’s changing

  1. Answers first

Each page opens by answering one question, like “Odoo vs ERPNext for a 20-person company”, in two or three sentences. The detail follows.

  2. Every fact has a receipt

Licenses, prices, release activity and hosting options link to their source and show the date we last checked them.

  3. Readable by people and agents

The same facts ship as plain HTML, Markdown, llms.txt and a JSON API, so AI assistants can quote them accurately.

The old toolb.in directory has been retired. Its tools will come back as sourced pages, one category at a time.
